Moore's Law is stated. Gordon Moore, co-founder of the Intel Corporation, notes that the number of active elements that can be placed on a computer chip is doubling every 18 months. The rule known as Moore's Law continues to be closely followed for over three decades. By the turn of this century, some chips will contain up to 109 transistors.
